Description of your organization and the services you provide

The Arkansas Autism Partnership (AAP) is the Medicaid waiver program for young children with autism between the ages of 18 months and 8 years (must be accepted and begin the program before the 5th birthday to be eligible). Partners serves as the administrative agency for daily operation of the program statewide, via contractual arrangement with the Department of Human Services, Division of Developmental Disabilities Services. This program will fund a team of professionals and paraprofessionals to evaluate eligible children and provide one-on-one intervention in their homes for a minimum of 20 hours and a maximum of 25 hours per week. This team will utilize individualized strategies that have been proven effective with children with autism in building their skills in areas of cognition, communication, self-care, socialization and appropriate behavior. Parents will be trained and included as members of the team. If you are interested in applying for services, please contact the Partners AAP staff for an application packet. If all slots are filled, applicants will be placed on a waiting list until a slot becomes available. Please note that all applications must be returned directly to Partners at the address listed on the first and last page of the application, NOT to the DHS Office.
